If you want to try, here is a fairly good adaptation of cachapa’s recipe and they are very easy to make. However, we don’t use pepper in the original recipe.

We serve them with butter, cream, and queso de mano (hand [made] cheese), telita (layered cheese) or guayanes, they are all diferent kinds of fresh soft white Venezuelan cheese and I’m quite sure you will not find them, so you could try mozzarella or jack, since many say they work well with the recipe.
